For hiring managers and founders

You don't need a recruiter who can spell “LangGraph.” You need one who can read the code.

We screen for production agent experience the way your tech-lead interview does — concretely, with examples, against rubrics that survive contact with a senior engineer.

The problem

Generalist recruiters are sending you generalist engineers.

The agentic AI market is 18 months old. Most of the candidates flooding your inbox have read three blog posts and built one demo. The actual operators — the people who have shipped, debugged, and re-shipped a production agent — are buried under that noise.

The typical experience

  • Recruiter sends 40 profiles. You reject 38 in the first 5 minutes.
  • The two who pass screen turn out to be ML researchers pivoting, not agent engineers.
  • By onsite, the candidate has never written an eval and you've burned three weeks.
  • Your team starts skipping recruiter pipelines and goes back to Twitter DMs.

How AgenTech is different

  • We screen against a production-agent rubric. Candidates name a specific failure mode, the metric that caught it, the fix.
  • Shortlists are 3–5 candidates, not 40. If we can't find 3, we tell you that on day one.
  • Each profile comes with our notes — what they've shipped, what they haven't, where the risk is.
  • We won't take a search where the comp band is below market. We'll tell you why and how to fix it.

The process

What working with us looks like.

Step 01

Scope the role with our intake agent

30 minutes, conversational. The agent surfaces the trade-offs you haven't named yet — must-haves vs. nice-to-haves, comp band sanity, remote/hybrid posture. You leave with a JD draft.

Step 02

We work the search ourselves

No outsourced sourcers, no offshored screen. Nick and Elissa run every search end-to-end. You hear back in 72 hours with the first calibrated profiles.

Step 03

Shortlist with notes

3–5 candidates per slot, each with a written read on what they've shipped, what they haven't, and where we'd dig deeper at onsite.

Step 04

Close, with us in the loop

We stay in the conversation through offer and start date. Most agencies disappear at handoff — that's where the deal-breakers actually surface.
